New Retro Arcade for the ’80s Fan
How many of you long for the days of rooms upon rooms dedicated to serious arcade gaming? For those die hard fans of the ’80s era gaming experience, Digital Cybercherries has launched an absolutely amazing new virtual reality trip called the New Retro Arcade.
The Oculus Rift headset is immensely popular for its ability to transport you into stunning fictional virtual reality which includes breathtaking scenes from the latest movies. Fans of the product will know exactly how amazing this experience can be to the senses. Add to this long list of virtual reality gems a highly detailed, very interactive retro arcade experience. The New Retro Arcade is being very well received by the slightly older generation of gamers; those who clearly remember the vintage arcade gaming rooms.
The best part about the New Retro Arcade is the interactive experience it offers the player through the Oculus Rift headset. While walking along the arcade room, the player is allowed to approach and and all video game consoles and actually get a chance to play them! The joysticks and buttons included in the console respond to the gamer’s touch as if in real life. Some of the games offered in the arcade are Tetris, Q-Bert, Missile Command, Asteroids, Joust and in concession to the new generation, some games like Flappy Bird have also been added. There is a huge variety of different genres of games to choose from.
Another plus point of the New Retro Arcade is the visually stimulating atmosphere designed by the creative team at Digital Cybercherries. The arcade room has a dramatically patterned carpet, which immediately catches the player’s eye and gives a very realistic vintage feel. To add to the retro feel, there is a dizzying array of brightly colored lights all over the room along with the authentic sounds of every video game available in the arcade room.
The New Retro Arcade also has a little extra something for those gaming enthusiasts who don’t want to spend all of their time in the video arcade area. There is a bowling alley available with two lanes, a dartboard to play with. two basketball machines available, and a few Game Boy handsets set here and there for the player’s enjoyment. All these are fully operational and very cleverly designed for maximum usage. A boombox has been set in this area which allows gamers to play ’80s themed cassettes. This boombox can then be carried around by the player, wherever he/she chooses. How cool is that?!
This is all the detail available so far about the New Retro Arcade but as soon as more details are revealed, the Virtual Reality Times will update you!
