For a long time, the entertainment world has been talking excitedly about launching a movie exclusively for the virtual reality headsets. Very recently, a full length feature film by the name of ‘Banshee Chapter’ has been released.
Banshee Chapter has now been launched everywhere online and is exclusively viewable with Oculus Rift’s virtual reality headset. It has been designed keeping in the mind the limitations and benefits afforded to film by virtual reality – showcasing an entertainment product that is absolutely original in its field. The film is a thrilling tale touching upon horror aspects made even more realistic by the headset viewers are going to be wearing. The story revolves around a reporter who is on the quest to find a friend who has gone missing and was also involved with a few highly secret and sensitive government projects.
The fact that Banshee Chapter will be shown on Oculus Rift’s headset has fans even more excited than they would be with any other product. Oculus Rift has made a name for itself in the virtual reality world, with unmatched graphics, sound and smooth shift into virtual reality. The latest headset designed by Oculus Rift has been widely popular around the world and is one of the pioneering devices to be able to actually project and show what virtual reality is all about. Although a consumer designed product has yet to be launched on the market, fans are waiting anxiously and have claimed that they do not care how long it takes, they will wait for this product as long as they have to. Talk about brand loyalty! The Oculus Rift team has claimed that they will be launching the headset sometime early in 2016. Then, everyone will get a chance to be able to watch Banshee Chapter through Oculus Rift’s virtual reality headset.
Virtual reality is still a fledgling concept for most of us. But the director of Banshee Chapter – Blaire Erickson – has said that he is looking forward to creating more and more diverse films with Oculus Rift, which will be featured exclusively on virtual reality headsets. He claims that the best part of Banshee Chapter will be for viewers to feel as if they are actually part of the film and standing inside the scene with the characters all around them! He admits that the film leaves a lot to be desired but since this venture is completely first of its kind, these mistakes can be overlooked.
