We have previously talked about Scope AR, an Augmented Reality Company that boasts the title for being the first creator of AR smart instructions and live support video calling solutions. Of course, we’re talking about WorkLink and Remote AR, which are basically powerful professional tools that allow users to become experts with the help of AR technology.

Worklink is an easy tool to create Smart Instructions. People will now forget boring paper instructions and will now instead be immersed into an animated, intuitive, 3D computer generated imagery that overlay on top of the real world.

Remote AR is a collaboration tool that allows remote field technicians and experts to connect via live video, audio, and a powerful annotation toolset that is augmented onto the real world.

Scope AR is $2 Million Closer To The Future

Things are only getting better both for the company and humanity in general. Scope AR is now $2 Million more capable of developing amazing tools and efficient uses for Augmented Reality. The company secured $2 Million in seed funding to focus on Augmented Reality adoption inside a rapidly growing industry hungry for new technologies and tools. Some of the investors include Susa Ventures, Presence Capital Fund and New Stack Ventures.

We reached to the company and David Nedohin, Scope AR’s President, answered our questions:

What is Scope AR working on right now?

After spending 2-3 years as a service company, we were really able to identify the bottleneck in the AR industry from the customer perspective.  This included rapid ability to create content in a scalable and cost-effective manner.  We believe (as do our customers) that Remote AR and WorkLink have solved this main issue.

Currently Scope AR is working primarily on improved features and support for our 2 main products, Remote AR and WorkLink.  With both products now fully launched, and customer traction increasing daily, we are receiving great feedback and continue to rapidly add features, add improvements, and add to our support team.

How will this $2 Million help Scope AR and its clients?

As our customer base increases (which it is very quickly), we need to have a team that can both react to improvements in the products quickly, and also support our customer support requirements.  This money will largely go towards supporting an increase in our tech team as well as support personnel.

What is the future of Augmented Reality?

AR will not only become a common term, but a technology that in the next 3-4 years will be used in all aspects of life from entertainment to education and industrial support.  We are already seeing adoption by industry, who is looking for ways to improve process, and harness expert knowledge.

With consumer products like Pokemon Go, the consumer is also starting to use AR without even really knowing it.  Predictions are that AR will be a $90 billion industry by 2020, and I believe that we have just reached an important inflection point with the the ability of hardware meeting the software improvements, along with actual demand for this technology from industry.
