Tilt Brush Brings Virtual Reality Art to the Oculus Rift
In order to play the Tilt Brush on the Oculus Rift headset, users will need the Oculus Touch controllers, they cost $200 and are quite easy to handle, very responsive and necessary for enjoying everything the Oculus Rift has to offer.
The Oculus Rift version of the Tilt Brush app is different to the HTC Vive one in a few ways: Now, by holding your finger on a button of the Touch controller you can see what it is for. Also, users can now rotate and resize their creations. And the Rift’s headphones deliver unique audio for each art tool.
“Different brushes create different sound effects, and they become a vivid part of the experience through your headphones. We love using audio reactive mode with Rift headphones and seeing strokes come to life with light and sound.”
Google also unveiled the Tilt Brush Toolkit, an open-source toolset that enables players to import their 3D sketches in Unity, adding music, interactive elements, and animations to their doodles.
