Jesus Christ Is Coming To Virtual Reality Movie
Jesus Christ is coming, but this time is coming to a Virtual Reality film about his life, and people will be able to see it first at the Venice Film Festival from August 31 to September 10. Jesus VR – The Story of Christ will have a 40 minutes long preview that will only be available to festival attendees from the 1st to the 4th of September.
Jesus VR – The Story of Christ Will Be A Historical Achievement
Autumn VR and VRWerx, film producers, claim that Jesus VR – The Story of Christ it’s the first VR movie ever made. They previously developed a virtual reality videogame based on the Paranormal Activity movies.
Festival goers will see the film in the brand new VR Theater located in Venice’s Casino. It will feature 50 VR headsets for each viewer and special seats that can pivot 360°. For the rest of the people in the world that can’t afford a ticket to Venice this year, the movie will also be available in Christmas. All major VR platforms will be able to play the film, including the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear, PlayStation VR, and Google Cardboard.
Reliving Part Of History And Christianity In VR
Jesus VR tells the story of Jesus Christ, showing important parts of his life like his birth, his first miracles among the people, his baptism by John, and the last moments of his life before and after the crucifixion. The movie was shot with 4K 360° equipment in the Italian city of Matera, it required hundreds of extras and more than 100 crew members.
Enzo Sisti is the Executive Producer of the film and veteran in the film industry, he previously worked with Mel Gibson in The Passion of Christ and was involved in “The English Patient.” Father Williams Fulco is the main religious advisor for the movie.
The Most Powerful Story Of All Time
David Hansen directed and produced the movie along with his partner Johny Mac from AutumnVR, and Alex Barder and Russell Naftal from VRWerx.
“The viewers truly feel they are there with Jesus and his disciples. This is the most powerful story of all time and virtual reality is the perfect way to tell it.”
Hansen said in a statement.
Jesus VR – The Story of Christ has a strong cast that includes Tim Fellingham as Jesus Chirst, Matteo Carlomagno as John the Baptist, Rhys Howells as Judas, Christian Serritiello as Andrew, and Mish Boyko as Peter. The script was written by Andre Van Heerden.
