Snapchat World Lenses Adds More Fun

Snapchat announced World Lenses, an AR feature that allows users to insert text and all kinds of objects to your videos and pictures on Snapchat. Snapchat has been a pioneer in the use of filters, colors, and even emojis inserter or superposed in their snaps, but this new addition takes the fun to a whole new level.

This update represents a major advancement in Snapchat’s efforts to make the application yet more enthusiastic and enjoyable. Its addictive filters used to be mostly focused on people’s faces, but World Lenses adds fun to the environment in your videos and photos.

What is even more interesting is that World Lenses is already available for all Snapchat users, bringing these cool Augmented Reality features to all the users on the social platform even before Facebook, which promised something similar.

How to use the World Lenses:

  1. “Open Snapchat to the camera screen.
  2. Use the rear-facing camera — tap the 🔁 button in the top right of the screen if you’re in selfie mode!
  3. Tap on any surface 👆
  4. A selection of different Lenses should appear at the bottom of the screen. Just swipe over to the World Lens you want to use!
  5. Tap it to switch between different options (like different captions or Bitmoji poses). You can also drag it to move it around or pinch your fingers in and out to change its size!”
