SceneThere Presents North Korea VR

The delightful VR experience transports viewers to North Korea’s capital, Pyongyang, a city particularly known for being quite inaccessible to tourists and one that houses the seat of government of the communist dictatorial and authoritarian regime of Kim Jong Un, the crazy chubby President that is always unsuccessfully trying to shoot a intercontinental ballistic missile towards the United States.

“SceneThere’s CEO Marcus Olsson was invited to North Korea to give a lecture about Entrepreneurship & Startups. The visit was arranged by non-profit organization Choson Exchange, and as part of this visit, we were able to capture everyday street life in Pyongyang. Using the SceneThere platform we created the world’s first interactive VR experience from North Korea.

Narration was done by North Korea expert Andray Abrahamian”

Marcus Olsson, CEO of the company, took advantage of this unique opportunity to film the city from 57 different positions along 10 unique and special locations in the city of Pyongyang. The end result is clearly stunning, it grants people the possibility to really immerse themselves and feel the strange aura of an unusually quiet and gray city.

SceneThere has other works that include beautiful and interesting places from all over the world such as the favelas in Brazil or an iconic sauna in Finland.
