HTC VR Experiences Immerse You in ‘Ready Player One’
After almost a year of waiting HTV Vive owners will finally have the pleasure of trying the Ready Player One VR experience. “HTC Vive™ and Warner Bros. Pictures announced today a strategic partnership in which HTC Vive will be the exclusive VR partner for all content, online and offline activations for the highly anticipated theatrical and home entertainment release of Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One.” Said Patrick Seybold from HTC Vive on March 27th of 2018.
Ready Player One is a science fiction movie directed by Steven Spielberg that adapts the novel created by American author Ernest Cline and it will release on March 29th to the delight of pop culture fans worldwide. Vive Studios collaborated with the best developers in VR to create unique virtual adaptations set in the world of Ready Player One. Steven Spielberg’s adaptation will feel overpowered in these eight Virtual Reality experiences for the Vive.
HTC Vive brought these experiences in multiple ways. They launched national VR arcade programs that distributed the content across the United States but what’s more exciting is that the titles are free to download on Viveport for HTC Vive users.
The Spielberg-directed science fiction movie shows a strange futuristic scene when the only escape possible is completely immersing oneself in the cyberspace. HTC Vive players are now able to visit the digital world too with the VR experiences created by Vive Studios and its partner developers.
The experiences are all as exciting as they are diverse, from avatar creation to fighting against AI enemy hordes and also 3D reboots of last century’s classics that include faux-breakout and Gauntlet. One of the virtual experiences recreates the zero-gravity dance club from Ready Player One with custom avatars and 80s music.
