Skyrim VR Pre-orders Reach Record High
It doesn’t come as a surprise that a lot of Vive, Rift, and Windows VR owners want to play Skyrim in Virtual Reality since Skyrim is considered one of the most iconic RPGs video games in history. Not even 24 hours passed after Bethesda announced the VR version of Skyrim for PC-based headsets and the video game was already one of the top sellers on the Steam platform.
Right now, Skyrim VR it’s on the 7th spot of the Top VR Sellers chart, following VR games that are already available. This doesn’t say much about how much money they make or how many units are they selling, but it’s not hard to imagine that Skyrim VR will be a huge success. It’s a safe bet considering the non-VR version is loved by so many gamers worldwide.
Skyrim VR is only available for pre-order right now, but the full game will arrive on April 3rd. So we can easily expect the game to reach the top of the rank next week with so many gamers willing to pay $60 to play what’s probably the longest and deepest VR game commercially available. Skyrim VR is also a very good sell on Sony’s PSVR headset too.
Bethesda’s favorite game first released on the PlayStation VR last year and players love it. Now it’s the turn of PC headsets with support for hand controllers and all DLCs included. Unfortunately, there are no plans to add mods right now, but they will surely come in due time.
