Rockstar Games Presents L.A. Noire: VR Case Files
Rockstar didn’t take long to bring LA Noire: VR Case Files to the Oculus Rift system. It is official, starting today you can buy this amazing Rockstar classic for the Rift.
“The VR Case Files for HTC Vive delivers seven of the original engrossing, self-contained cases from L.A. Noire rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.” Reads on the official website.
The game first released on Steam for the HTC Vive headset, but LA Noire VR quickly became wildly popular and turned into one of the best Virtual Reality experiences available on the platform. Many gamers consider LA Noire as their favorite Vive release of 2017, so it comes as a pleasant surprise that Rift owners will also get the chance to explore the 1940’s Los Angeles to play the role of the clever Detective Cole Phelps.
Featuring eight square miles of the Los Angeles from the 1940s and recreated in Virtual Reality, LA Noire VR is very easily one the most iconic Virtual Reality games available right now. Even though it doesn’t include everything from the non-VR game, the game has an excellent selection of cases to complete and the whole city to explore either driving or on foot.
The main locomotion systems in LA Noire are teleportation-focused or arm-swinger motions, so the inclusion of the Oculus Touch analog sticks won’t represent too much of an improvement to the gameplay.
Rockstar continues to support Virtual Reality by making its iconic VR games available to other platforms, so hopeful fans expect more games to come to the immersive world of VR and also that they come to the PlayStation VR system as well.
