Last week’s Oculus Connect 6 had another sweet surprise; the announcement that Harmonix’s music shooter Audica will be coming to Oculus Quest before the end of the year.

Audica was released on SteamVR and Oculus Home for Rift early this year. The release was an early access. The Audica gameplay draws a lot from Beat Saber and provides fans with engrossing content in the gameplay which will particularly appeal to rhythm games fans. If you are already deep into Beat Saber, then Audica will be a bit of downgrade. However, this is still an early access so there is a lot that can improve as the game continues to go undergo development. It’s too early to give it a final verdict.

The game is already on early access on PC VR but Oculus Quest users don’t have to wait long to access to the game as it hits the Quest platform before the end of this year. The launch date hasn’t been specified yet.

Apart from the Quest launch, the rhythm shooter game is also set to launch on PSVR this fall. Last week, the game released an update featuring a Borderlands tie-in. This update will allow players to use the Maliwan Pistol from the Borderlands 3 in Audica. The item is simply an aesthetic addition and it does not alter the gameplay in any form at all. The update also included some minor changes such as the Twitch chat integration.
