The title too long to hit the 1 million mark on PSVR. As of June 2020, it had hit the 9,000,000 mark across all platforms. At the beginning of 2020, PSVR itself hit the 5 million mark of units shipped to its customers. Even if you account for the growth in PSVR usage over the past year, this data shows a huge chunk of the PSVR userbase has already played Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. However, it is important to keep in mind that this data also factors multiple accounts using the same console.

Resident Evil 7 is undoubtedly one of the best PSVR games to date and it gives users a glimpse into true AAA horror on the platform. The title is hair-raisingly scary but it also filled with plenty of captivating moments.

There have been remakes of both Resident Evil 2 and 3 but without VR support yet. In Japan, there are currently two new arcade-exclusive Resident Evil games. There is the upcoming Resident Evil 8 which takes fans back to the first-person perspective. However, Capcom has not yet announced any VR support for the game either on PS5 or PC and the former does not provide any PSVR support for naïve games. Rumors abound that the experience also includes PSVR support.
