Barely a week after Tilt Brush went open source, we now have a multiplayer implementation open-source Tilt Brush, Multibrush. Multibrush enables you to play, create and make lots of art in virtual reality with friends (in a multiplayer mode), something that Tilt Brush fans have eagerly requested for years.

Multibrush is a free and multiplayer version of Tilt Brush and it is now available on Oculus Quest via SideQuest. The developers Rendever had a prototype version of the app running in just 10 hours. Multibrush is also coming to App Lab soon so users won’t have to go fiddle through sideloading the app.

The multiplayer functionality has been one of the most requested features on Tilt Brush and with the app going open source, it was only a matter of time before some developer came up with its implementation.

For now, Tilt Brush fans can sideload Multibrush onto their Quest headsets and check it out or collaborate with other VR users online. The one that has been released so far is an early 0.01b version of the app and users may experience a few issues with the app.

The developer Rendever has already confirmed that the app will soon be coming to App Lab which will make installation a lot easier for users. If you don’t want to sideload, you can simply hold off for a little while until the app is available on App Lab. If you can’t wait any longer for the multiplayer implementation of Tilt Brush, check out the app right now on SideQuest.
