Teledildonics is the future of VR sex
Imagine yourself doing naughty things in a virtual world. Not only you see it, you also feel everything that’s going on. Crazy, huh?
VR is taking off so fast with the advancement of many VR headsets today. Along with this rise in popularity, VR has also opened up bizarre things to do with it. The most notable example is VR porn. And with VR porn also comes simulated sex that can only be achieved by pairing up VR headsets with sex toys. These sex toys, called teledildonics, make it possible to intersect the immersive VR experience with simulated sexual experiences. As far and wide as your naughty desires allow, VR can deliver such realistic sensual experiences you can only dream of in real life.
Take virtual handjobs for example. Before VR, many sex toys have appeared in the market for partner-less sex experiences. The Fleshlight is the best example of these toys – yet in the era of VR, it lacks the VR abilities to make the overall virtual handjob experience complete as it is meant to be. Then here comes the Vstroker. Vstroker intends to complement the Fleshlight’s notable features by sending out the stroke movements as motion data to a PC. Somehow, it makes for the perfect VR sex setup: a Fleshlight with the Vstroker attachment, paired with a VR headset connected to a PC.
But there is still a contender in the teledildonics for virtual reality. The VR Tenga, a handjob simulator, is made by Japanese sex toy company Tenga. Its hardware may look awkward, but Tenga promises that it can deliver the most intimate, realistic, and satisfying virtual handjobs any man has ever felt. According to Tenga’s CEO Tsuneki Sato, the odd-looking contraption is the “future of masturbation”.
VR Tenga’s abilities is based from the haptic device made by Novint, called the Novint Falcon. The Novint Falcon is a haptic feedback device that has arm-like devices that move in several degrees of freedom, allowing any kind of movement depending on the VR content. Together with the Novint Falcon is a VR content software made by Illusion, a Japanese erotic game developer. With the Oculus Rift VR headset connected to the whole system, the user can experience virtual handjobs like nothing else. This robotic approach to virtual sex is one big step that Tenga is doing to make VR sex a mainstream product that anyone can enjoy.
Erotic experiences in virtual reality are still quite taboo these days. Teledildonics can be considered as a hobbyist-level subproduct by the people behind VR hardware, but thanks to the huge potential of virtual reality, we can expect teledildonics to proliferate in the mainstream adult VR experiences.
