VOKE to Deliver VR Live Sports Events in India
Virtual Reality live events leader, VOKE, just announced a partnership with media giant Star India to deliver VR live sports events to all Indian fans. VOKE is a cutting edge VR Company based in Silicon Valley, it focuses on building the next generation of fan engagement for live sports and entertainment.
VOKE VR Partners with Media Giant Star India
Star India has eight Star Sports channels and a video streaming service called Hotstar which make Star India the leader of sport broadcast providers in India. This new partnership with VOKE will begin with the Kabaddi World Cup in Ahmedabad from October 7th to October 22nd and it will allow Hotstar viewers to watch live sports events in virtual reality. Hotstar will live stream all Kabaddi World Cup matches.

TrueVR Live Streams Sports to VR Headsets
VOKE’s TrueVR live streaming will be available to Hotstar users and it will be compatible with Gear VR and Google Cardboard headsets. Additionally, viewers will also be able to experience a personalized a 2D user-controlled interface for those without headsets on the Hotstar app or website. It will be the first time for TrueVR content to be available on several VR headsets and mobile systems.
VOKE’s platform is very flexible, it allows media companies to host the virtual reality content on their own websites and apps. Users will be able to access the streaming by selecting the Google Cardboard feature in Hotsar’s Android and iOS apps or through the Hotstar Gear VR app downloadable from the Oculus Store. Those that are unable to watch the live streaming will have access to highlights and video on demand content through the same platform.
