Windlands Released on Quest App Lab
Windlands has launched on the Quest App Lab this week. This was one of the PSVR and PC VR games ever released. Now it gets onto the standalone Quest platform via App Lab.
Windlands is a first-person platformer that was developed by Psytec Games. It will now be available on App Lab for $14.99. The App Lab version features the full original game initially released on PSVR and PC VR in 2016.
In this platformer, players will be operating two grappling hooks that they use to swing over floating islands as they discover collectibles. This is one of the first most intense experiences on virtual reality and was one of the first VR games to push the boundaries of comfort and give players fast-paced gameplay.
Windlands eventually had a sequel, named Windlands 2 that was released on PC VR a few years back. The title also added co-op support as well as combat via archery. The sequel is also set to hit PSVR later this year. Currently, there aren’t any signals that the developer, Psytec, is also building a Quest version of Windlands 2.
Keep it here for more updates on Windlands, its sequel, and other new developments in VR and AR.
