Among Us VR Now Provides Support for Custom Lobby Settings
Among Us VR has a new update that adds support for custom lobby settings as well as a new hat pack.
In December last year, the developer, Schell Games, announced the feature in its Among Us VR 2023 roadmap.
The custom lobby settings are now live in the game’s fourth patch. Schell Games outlined the new features in a new blog post, claiming that this update will enable “over 9 billion customization configurations” and will enable users to adjust pace, balancing as well as the general rules. This is complemented by a new indicator that shows the balance of the gameplay between Impostors and Crewmates.
The options are: –
- Distance of Crew and Impostor vision
- Enabling/disabling specific tasks
- Customizable discussion time
- The number of emergency meetings and tasks
- Anonymous voting
- Customizable discussion time
- Sabotage and kill cooldowns
- Number of impostors
- Visible hands
- Emergency meetings and long tasks
- Altering the kill cooldown length
Among Us VR will get a lot more updates and features. When the title hit 1 million sales in January this year, Schell Games provided a first glimpse at its new Polus map that is under development. There is an ongoing public vote for its name.
Other post-launch Among Us VR updates include additional hats, better accessibility, and presently unknown collaborations.
Also included in patch four is the Accidental Favorites Hat Pack for $4.99 which adds five new cosmetics from the original Among Us game by Innersloth: Third Eye, Note 2 Self, MoRawk, Magical ‘Corn, and Peeled. When you update the main game, you also get a free Pizza Time hat.
Among Us VR is on Meta Quest as well as on PC VR through Steam and Rift for $9.99.
It supports cross-play on all virtual reality platforms. There is also a planned PSVR 2 release.
