Ready your Feet for Virtual Reality Foot Controllers
Feel what is like to wear shoes or boots in a virtual space, feel the difference of walking over different terrains and different textures. Imagine yourself kicking stuff in a virtual environment, or maybe kicking or stomping enemies to eliminate them. How cool would it be to feel the difference between your enemy’s skin and clothes? What about porn and adult entertainment? There are tons of possibilities, but we have yet to see how feasible these controllers are.
Taclim
Taclim is a pair of shoes and gloves developed by Cerevo for Virtual Reality, it has built-in tactile features that provide haptic feedback to users.
Taclim recreates the sensation of stepping on the real ground in virtual reality, it provides users the sense of wearing the same shoes worn by the virtual avatar and delivers a sense of real touch. Taclim can also be used as an input device to control characters and reflect players’ motion in a virtual environment, this greatly increases the sense of immersion.

The system basically enables you to push with your toes or heels in order to move forward or backward as you prefer, you can tilt one side or the other to move sideways, you may also rotate to turn around and even apply an opposite pressure with your feet to go up or down. The speed is completely adjustable depending on how much strength you put into the movements.
