You Can Now Pre-order the VR Cover for the Oculus Quest Headset
VR Cover has already released a customizable facial interface and foam replacement set for Oculus Quest 2 which is already available for pre-order. The accessory can be pre-ordered from the official Oculus website.
The Facial Interface & Foam Replacement Set promises to upgrade the Oculus Quest 2 headset’s “hygiene, comfort and immersion” with a “passively ventilated facial interface” as well as two PU leather foam replacements available in different thicknesses as well as a light-blocking silicone nose guard.
The accessory is already available for pre-order on the official Oculus website for a price of $29. It is listed as shipping in October.
VR Cover says the product has “vents added along the top” that help in maintaining good air circulation while also reducing the build-up of the heat and moisture which could potentially fog up the lenses. Users who strap on this accessory will have to grapple with fewer interruptions as there will be little need to remove the headset for a wipe down. The insert is available in two variations including the standard and the comfort version that they can pick from.
When facial interface is set up with the foam, it replaces the stock interface that is already on the Oculus Quest 2 headset.
VR Cover has been in existence for quite some time now and its accessories are already fairly well-known among many VR enthusiasts, especially adopters. Facebook has so far gone into partnership with both Logitech and VR Cover in providing end users with “Oculus Ready” accessories for the new Oculus Quest 2 headset. VR Cover is also planning to roll out a lens cover for the Oculus Quest 2 headset which will be sold in sets from the company’s website.
