The track has been hand-mapped and choreographed for the two videogames by the respective teams to show how each of them can provide a different experience. The two have also launched “Collab Delight”. This is a contest that enables players to pair or even compete on their own to get the best high scores in the new song. Winners will receive a number of prizes such as Amazon Gift Cards. If you are interested in joining the Collab Delight contest, you can sign up here. The contest will run from June 30th at 6pm PST. The contest winners will be unveiled during a special co-developer stream that is scheduled for 1st July, 2020.

Both Synth Riders and OhShape feature a fitness element in them though they are notably different from the VR rhythm leader Beat Saber. In OhShape, the player tries to fit their body into cutout shapes that are in walls that are flying towards the users. In Synth Riders has a system where the player dodges the walls, hits targets and rides on the rail system either in a competitive multiplayer mode or solo.

The collaboration offers an opportunity to explore the synergies between the two games as well as the communities around them. The collaborative approach is a welcome development for Synth Riders which is always looking for ways of pushing the boundaries of Virtual Reality rhythm genre, according to its CEO Arturo Perez.

Synth Riders is very close to dancing where the player has to hit targets while dodging the walls all the time to the beats of various music styles. OhShape, on the other hand, was inspired by a Japanese TV Show known as “Hole in the Wall” where the user has to match the shapes with their bodies to pass via blocks and punch walls.

The Synth Riders and OhShape Duo Pack now costs $27.99, offering users a 30% discount on the two games.
