YJM Games Makes Partnership with the VR Fund
YJM GAMES USA will participate in The VR Fund partnership to build a network for expanding their global VR business as well as keeping up with the latest trends centered on Silicon Valley, a hotspot for VR high technology. The company has plans to quickly make strategic investments in VR, AR and MR specialized overseas companies, which are attracting attention in the local market. YJM also wants to take a leading role in the Asian market.
Better Partnerships Equals Better Investments in VR
The VR Fund is a major member of the Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance (VRVCA), a global large investment consortium of about $15 billion USD, with important members such as Softbank. The fund has extensive research capabilities and networks around the globe and is making leading investments in major VR/AR prospects such as TheWaveVR, Owlchemy Labs, and Sliver TV.
“We are very pleased and honored to have YJM Games as our first partner in Korea. In terms of the VR and AR market size, we believe that it is a good opportunity to communicate innovative VR and AR content through the alliance with YJM Games in major Asian markets, while also promoting Asian VR and AR content to the global market.”
Says Marco DeMiroz, co-founder and general partner at The VR Fund.
Tipatat Chennavasin, a VR specialist who is a co-founder and general partner at The VR Fund, is a mentor of ‘Seoul VR Startup’, which is jointly operated by YJM Games with Gumi Japan.
“We have already participated in the investment of The VR Fund by leading companies in the US and Japan. We have participated in this fund LP with the best expertise in VR around the world, I hope to grow together.”
Says YJ Min, CEO of YJM Games.
