Indie video game developer Polyarc has revealed that its hit virtual reality adventure puzzle game Moss will have new content just in time for the Quest headset launch next week. The new update will be in the form of a new chapter. The game, including the new content, will launch first on Oculus Quest on May 21 and the fresh update will also be available on all other supported platforms in June.

Moss Update

The new chapter has been dubbed ‘Twilight Garden’ and Polyarc has described it as a “complimentary” experience in the game which will introduce new challenges, environments and storytelling.

In a press statement, the indie developer stated that players will discover new portals to its new Twilight Garden chapter while playing Moss, a playing experience which will put players through new tests as a “mysterious presence” will prepare them for the dangers that lie ahead. Users will be able to explore vast chambers, find new unique weaponry and face up to a new set of enemies and puzzles. In Moss, the player is tasked with assisting a heroic and cute-as-button young mouse hero named Quill that is trying to rescue her homeland from a fire-breathing snake called Sarfforg. The Twilight Garden is not a sequel but a chapter that introduces new puzzles, story elements, enemies along with weapons that you and the cute mouse will need to find. The mouse will communicate with you using only sign language and gestures. The game is a mashup of a first-person shooter (FPS) and 3D platformer and puts the player in control of the mouse while still being able to manipulate the environment to help Quill the mouse achieve her objectives.
