Cities: VR is a VR city sim for Meta Quest that which was announced recently. The developer is now saying that the title could launch on other VR platforms down the line.

In a Q&A with UploadVR, Creative Director Erik Odeldahl said that while the title had been announced for Quest 2, the studio will share more information on the potential additional platforms at a later date.

This means that there is the possibility that Cities: VR could come to other VR headsets. The game is a VR port of the gameplay in Cities: Skylines to Quest 2 and makes full use of motion controllers as the player plans out their own metropolis and acts as a mayor. The gameplay occurs in an isometric, god-like view although the player can also scale right down into the city in order to watch the inner workings of the city.

Cities: VR is scheduled to launch on Quest 2 next spring. The studio hasn’t provided any specifics on whether it might announce the other platforms before or after release but many players will be eager to hear about a possible PC VR or PSVR 2 version.

The studio, Fast Travel Games, has in the past introduced its games to practically all platforms in the past few years so it is possible it could replicate that with Cities: VR.
