Developer Schell Games has announced that Among Us VR has now hit a key milestone, reaching 1 million sales since the launch of the game.

Among Us VR was released in November. It hit the 1 million sales milestone in just 10 weeks following its launch. In a blog post highlighting some of the community statistics, Schell Games also confirmed that Among Us VR has been played over 4 million times, with an average of 44,000 matches per day with players.

In the blog post, it also claims over 89,100,00o minutes have been spent on the game on tasks, sabotages, and betrayal with crewmates from over 122 different countries joining in.

Schell Games appears to have big plans for the near future. Apart from the huge update last month that fixed a number of bugs and connectivity issues. Recently, Schell Games unveiled the Among Us VR 2023 roadmap.  Other features “coming soon” include in-game reporting tools, custom lobby settings, and voice chat moderation. There are additional post-launch updates for the game including collaborations, a brand-new map, improved accessibility, and much more.

Schell has done an impressive job with its adaptation of Among Us VR. The virtual reality adaptation successfully brought out the spirit of the original social deduction game. The VR rendition has been a hit with the original’s fans. The adaptation gets it right in sound, lighting, and interaction design. The crew tasks give players the perfect blend of challenges under the pressure of death. It has a next-level strategy as well as the planning needed to successfully destroy crews successfully and survive interrogations by crews as an impostor.

You can purchase Among Us VR on the Meta Quest platform as well as on PC VR through Steam and Rift for $9.99. The title supports cross-play on all virtual reality platforms. A PSVR release is also planned.
