Adam Orth unveiled a trailer at the Game Awards show, for a new game he was planning to launch soon. The trailer was a huge hit, especially with the live audience present at the show.

The game has been labeled ‘Adr1ft’, and a few people have recently been invited to try it out. The trailer was pretty captivating, including elements of enthralling suspense, excitement, and a mysteriously beautiful environment. Many people jumped eagerly at the chance to be able to try out the latest Adr1ft. The game was offered for a demo version to players at a recent event organized by Sony PlayStation – in a closed door session.

Adr1ft is a game rich with story, depth of character, mystery and suspense. It is a completely immersive first person experience that introduces the protagonist as an astronaut in great trouble. The main character is the sole surviving member in the game, floating around in a horribly damaged and wrecked space station. The astronaut has no memory of who he is, where he’s from or what he’s here to do. He is in possession of a ruined space suit and tries to make sense of what happened on the space station to cause all this destruction, using his limited memory and knowledge. So many lives have been lost and it is up to the player to figure out how and why it happened. The player is supposed to salvage clues and memories by searching in the wreckage for resources he can use. The goal of Adr1ft is for the main character to defeat the challenging environment, repair the damaged vehicle and somehow get back home.

Adr1ft has been developed by Three One Zero – an independent developing studio that works mainly in creating video games and interactive entertainment experiences. It was founded by Adam Orth and Omar Aziz in September 2013, their main base being Santa Monica, California. Adr1ft has not been released officially since the creators are still working on it having full Oculus Rift support, along with PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Three One Zero Studios have claimed that the game will be released in its full version sometime early next year.

According to the developers, Adr1ft is “an emotional journey through action, consequence and redemption.  In the end, the player will be left to contemplate the parallels between the choices he makes within the game and the ones he makes in real life”; heavy stuff, but a great story with stunning graphics and such a realistic story. Virtual Reality Times will keep following the progress of the title and report back with any further details.
