Rec Room developer Against Gravity has began sending out its first invites for the game’s iPhone early testing program.

With the mobile integration, Rec Room will exponentially expand the reach of the cross-platform social service to a much bigger audience. The social VR service includes lots of activities such as dodgeball, paintball as well as cooperative quests.

Rec Room will also include various cooperative tools that players can deploy to build their own shareable worlds as well as inventions. You can even watch a complete production of The Princess Bride which has been created inside Rec Room. The VR app is now supported by every major virtual reality headset including the recently unveiled Oculus Quest headset. A flat screen mode was recently added on the PC and PlayStation 4 versions.

Rec Room also provides a kind of virtual economy inside of it that will allow creators to charge in-app tokens for the events, costumes, the inventions they have developed inside Rec Room and other items that they can develop into the rooms and games.

There are also guidelines that users can follow to report bugs. The window for signing up into the beta program is also still open so if you haven’t signed up yet, you can do it now. Currently, fans prefer to experience Rec Room on iOS, Android and Switch platforms.

Taking the multiplayer games across three multiple interaction platforms that includes desktop, mobile and virtual reality is a major achievement for the developer Against Gravity. It will be interesting to see how the social VR game will work on iOS devices. Should they add Switch and Android before the end of the year, then 2019 will be quite a productive year for the studio.

Rec Room is providing a shared community across multiple paradigms and supported gadgets. However, it is still possible to restrict access to some rooms and activities in the game.
