SteamVR2.0 Released and Will Be Available to All Users
Valve begins shipping SteamVR 2.0 and it will be available to all users.
While the update was previously accessible in beta from last month, the full release, which includes a new user interface (UI) and various other features, is now available today.
Valve describes SteamVR 2.0 as its “first big step” in a broader, “ongoing effort” to enhance the integration of the Steam ecosystem for all users, ensuring a more consistent experience across various devices. This update aligns SteamVR with the Steam and SteamDeck experiences, incorporating “most of the current features” from the latter two into the former.
Additional new features encompass an upgraded keyboard, the integration of Steam chat and voice chat, a revamped store that showcases VR releases, and enhancements to the accessibility of Steam notifications.
