See Samsung’s Newest Flagship Phones in 360-Degree Live Stream from MWC 2016
Samsung is getting ready for the launch of its next-gen flagship smartphones. Not just the company is getting ready for the phones itself, but also for the way people would be seeing it. For the very first time, the South Korean phone giant will stream its special event in 360-degree fashion.
South Korean electronics giant Samsung is scheduled to officially unveil its much-anticipated Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge flagship handsets at its “Unpacked” event during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on Sunday, February 21st.
The “Unpacked” event, which is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. PST will, for the very first time, be streamed live by Samsung in immersive 360 degree video stream.
The 360-degree live streaming of the ‘Unpacked’ event will enable viewers all across the world to view the event as if they were really there to see it live. According to Samsung, the special launch event will be recorded from four angles. This will enable viewers to check out the proceedings at the event from four distinct positions: stage right, stage left, center stage, and from the auditorium.
As Samsung is expected to deliver the event in 360-degree fashion, fans from across the globe can expect to see the event in a variety of ways. The company said that the “Unpacked” event will be streamed to a variety of capable hardware, including smartphone-driven VR headsets such as the Google Cardboard through Android-powered smartphones, PCs, and the Samsung Gear VR headset.
Samsung sees the opportunity of streaming its flagship phone event in VR by letting anyone to see their newest smartphones at the comforts of their home or even on-the-go. In a press release, Samsung stated directly that “even if you cannot make it to Barcelona for the big event, you can still enjoy the excitement of being the first to see Samsung’s newest Galaxy devices-but this time with the added benefit of seeing them unveiled through this groundbreaking and immersive platform.”
