Beat Games, the Beat Saber studio, teased the release of the new tracks on Twitter early this week during which they had boasted that one of the tracks would average an 8.7(ish) notes per second, certainly one for the more experienced saber vibrators. It is still unclear which of these three new tracks will hit that insane milestone.
Songs for Advanced Beat Saber Players
8.7 notes per second is a crazily high average so on higher difficulties, this new track will definitely pose a serious challenge. However, expect one of the more experienced sabers to have mastered this beat within just a few hours.
Mid last year, Beat Saber had released three free Camellia tracks and some Twitter users had speculated that the new tracks would be from Camellia which was not to be the case.
The Camellia tracks were certainly on the higher difficulty scale which is why many Twitter users had speculated that the new Beat Saber tracks averaging 8.7 notes per second would also be from Camellia. Beat Saber enthusiasts will be grateful nonetheless to lay their hands on the new tracks.
Beat Games has reminded its fans to stretch a bit before immersing themselves into these tracks in order to avoid injury. The Cametek song update will appear simultaneously on all the three Beat Saber platforms: Steam, Oculus Store and PlayStation Store.
The last three Beat Saber songs were released in summer last year with the OST 3. A paid song package by the US punk band Green Day was recently added to Beat Saber thereby introducing some variety to the typically electro-heavy Beat Saber song library. Part of this update had included both 360 and 90-degree levels for the PC VR headsets and PlayStation VR.
