Echo VR Season 2 Begins on June 8
The Echo Pass came out in March and provides seasonal reward tracks complete with in-game cosmetics in one of the most popular sports on virtual reality. These seasons will run for a few months before resetting and the rewards earned all through the season provide customizations that don’t give an in-game advantage.
The first season ended on May 23 and came with a new chassis, boosters, medals, emblems, bracers, emotes, banners, tags, tints, titles, and patterns. For its season 2, Ready At Dawn gave details on some of the boosters that will still be unlockable such as a bee and a ladybug which look quite cool to blast around with in zero gravity.
With time still left until the beginning of the next season, it is likely that Ready at Dawn will tease more of their rewards that will soon be unlockable.
Ready At Dawn is also behind Lone Echo 2 which is the sequel to the epic single-player 2017 game which was instrumental in popularizing zero-g mechanics, providing an impressive experience in a team sport such as the multiplayer Echo VR. The sequel is set to launch on the Rift store this summer.
The first season for Echo Pass had a reward track that was accessible to all players and which they could convert to a Premium pass to get additional rewards. The Premium Pass was sold for an equivalent of $10 (USD) or 1000 in-game Echo Points.
Echo VR is one of the few titles supporting 120Hz mode on the Oculus Quest 2 headset. Although it is a free-to-play title, it remains one of the most popular titles on standalone VR. Try it out today if you haven’t checked it out yet.
