The latest project from JoyWay is a roguelite VR shooter called Outlier. It is set to launch on Oculus Quest in 2022, the developer has confirmed.

The launch will be a full release on the main Quest store. You can view the trailer of the PC version below.

Outlier is a first-person shooter action that includes a supernatural twist. Players will be battling it out through an alien planet with lots of hostile creatures by using a firearm in one hand along with superpowers such as the ability to throw fire using the other hand.  A few weeks back, the game development studio launched an official demo of the title for Steam. This was also showcased as part of the Steam Next Fest this week. The PC version of the game is set for an Early Access release before the end of the year.

Outlier isn’t the only project that JoyWay is currently immersed in. The studio is also working on the popular free-running VR title Stride. An Oculus Quest version of Stride was launched early this year and the game development company is presently working on a multiplayer mode which it is testing on PC, along with a single-player campaign mode. JoyWay is also building a gory Beat Saber/Pistol Whip clone named Against.
