Facebook Shows Gear VR App for 360-degree Content
A great amount of 360-degree videos and images are posted on Facebook every day and it’s hard to find good content among so many selfies and viral videos.
Facebook 360 Gear VR App Helps You Find Good VR Content
We are glad Facebook finally came up with a solution, the social media giant developed a new Gear VR app called Facebook 360. The application is friendly and features a simple interface based on four tabs that will help users find the best 360-degree content available. You can now see the list of the most popular videos under the “Explore” tab, and watch everything your friends and the pages you follow are posting with “Following” tab.
According to Facebook, more than 1 million 360-degree videos have been posted on the platform so far, along with 25 million 360-degree images. Quite impressive numbers, but still not enough considering it is an only tiny small percentage of the total. Facebook expects to increase its VR audience with the help of the new Gear VR app. This would help both Facebook and content developers who want their products to been seen by as many people as possible. The company’s own VR headset, the Oculus Rift, would benefit greatly from a wider and happier VR audience.
