Marvel Powers United VR Announced for Oculus Rift
Marvel Powers United VR lets you team up with three of your friends with an Oculus Rift headset to fight the forces of evil in real time as Marvel superheroes.
Unleash Your Inner MARVEL Superhero in VR
Marvel Powers United VR was announced at the D23 Expo and it’s an arcade-like video game where up to 4 players can join in. You can play as the Incredible Hulk, Captain Marvel, Ronan The Accuser, or Rocket Racoon. Soon other heroes will be available.
You must sign in with your Oculus RIFT and Lockjaw will get you and three of your friends into real battle, the objective is to save some kind of special artifact at the Collector’s Lair. Each available hero is radically different, they have their own unique moves, playstyles, and superpowers. 4 superheroes in one team is a deadly combination against evil.
Powers United looks very much like an old school arcade action game, which makes it fun and entertaining for all looking for quick action. You have to defeat all enemies on a scenario, then move to the next one. Defeat more enemies and move to the next again. Eventually, you and your team have to face to a boss in order to win. It’s basic entertainment but really fun.
Marvel claims more character and levels will be added to the game soon as it rolls out and expands, but for the moment, the development team has done it right. We like hot and easy games to get quick pleasure and release stress, some wouldn’t mind a bit of depth in the story, but there are already many VR games with that.
Marvel Powers United VR launches in 2018, the exact date is still unknown.
