The world of The Walking Dead expertly crafted an immersive VR scene for its seven-year run, and AMC is inviting you fully experience it through its Virtual Reality app. You can download it for Google Daydream, Samsung Gear VR, Android, and iOS right now. The experience was made available after the 100th episode of The Walking Dead, it involves an exclusive VR scene from the show.
The Walking Dead experience puts you in the action from both sides of the story. You begin trapped in an abandoned car waiting as the walkers get closer every second. In case that doesn’t frighten you enough, you will also be part of the herd of walkers and see how they kill and eat their prey.
After you experience enough of claustrophobic horror, you can watch all the extras, including features and trailers from another AMC show into the Badlands. AMC promises to keep the app updated with other virtual experiences for the near future.
The AMC VR app comes after the announcement of The Walking Dead: Our World –an exclusive AR video game coming to Android and iOS with exciting new features. Both the VR scenes and the game should turn you into a zombie-slaying survivalist.
