NBA will Broadcast All Games in Virtual Reality
The NBA, in partnership with NextVR, is making the entire basketball season available in immersive Virtual Reality for League Pass subscribers on its app.

Several sports leagues and broadcasters adventure in virtual reality, but the NBA is really going all in. Last year, the NBA amazed fans by streaming weekly games in Virtual Reality and now, it is making the entire season completely immersive in virtual reality for League Pass subscribers. You will be able to watch 27 live games on your Google Daydream or Samsung Gear VR headset and you will also enjoy access to the Screening Room, a place where you will be able to select any League Pass game in VR.
The Screening Room allows you to select up to 13 NBA games that you can live stream on a massive virtual screen. For now, the NBA will only be available for Samsung, Google, and Asus phones, but soon enough you can also enjoy this experiences with a Windows Mixed Reality headset.
The NBA experience now features live stats within the virtual scene and other interesting stuff. Infographics won’t distract you too much from the real game because they will be inserted within the field-of-play. There will also be a point-of-view feature to provide people more control during the 27 live games.
You can pay $200 for the League Pass subscription in order to watch all games in Virtual Reality or simply pay $7 for any particular game you want to stream thanks to NBA’s on-demand service. You can find more information and schedule details for live games on the league’s website.
