Beat Saber PSVR multiplayer has now been postponed to next year.

The PC VR and Quest versions of the Beat Saber got free updates last week enabling up to five players to take on another head-to-head on this virtual reality smash hit. In the run up to the launch, Beat Games has once again warned that the Beat Saber PSVR multiplayer might not arrive this year after all and is likely to be delayed. In a tweet posted today, Beat Games revealed that the multiplayer will still not be available for PS4 and that while the studio was prioritizing bringing multiplayer support to PS4, development was taking longer than expected and that if the everything goes according to plan, it will launch PSVR multiplayer in January, 2021.

Beat Saber PSVR Multiplayer to Come in 2021

Game updates typically reach PSVR last. This has been the case with the other Beat Saber DLC as well as Vacation Simulator’s Back to Job content which only arrived on the headset last week, which is more than one month behind the other headsets. However, delaying the new mode to January is probably a longer wait than many users had expected.

Beat Games has promised to keep working on the multiplayer for PS4 “as fast possible” as well as some new music content set to come soon, it stated in a follow-up tweet. Plans are already underway for a BTS pack that will launch on all platforms before the end of the year. However, there is no word yet on whether PSVR would also get a day-and-date release for this pack.

Are you waiting for another two months for the Beat Saber PSVR multiplayer in January, 2021 or trying other headset options?
