GORN Coming to Quest on 28th January 2021
The single-player arcade battle simulator GORN (2019) is set to make an Oculus Quest debut next week. GORN is a ludicrously violent VR gladiator simulator with plenty of combat and gore where the player has to take on and survive waves of muscle-wound fighters inside an arena.
GORN was created by Free Lives, the studio that also created Broforce (2015) and Genital Jousting (2018). It is now set to launch on January 28th, 2021 on the Oculus Quest platform.
The title was first launched in 2017 on Steam Early Access. It is a primal cartoon violence with physics-driven combat taking place against a backdrop of teetering beefcakes clad with maces, swords, bows and nunchuks among others, including Conan-style two-handed broadswords.

The game was first released in 2019 for PSVR to very positive reviews. The PSVR port of the game was first scheduled to arrive in the same year but was delayed a couple of times before eventually being reschedule to 2020. The frequent delays had annoyed PSVR fans so this time, the develop had been cautious about giving an estimate of the release date for its Quest port, announcing only that they wanted GORN to be “as good as possible.”
The Quest port was not handled by the game’s developers Free Lives but by 24 Bit Games which also handled the game’s PSVR port in 2019. The game is technically demanding but hopefully, the Quest version will pull it off.
With the Quest port, the critically-acclaimed game will now be available in almost all the leading VR headsets. You can check out also check out GORN on PSVR, Oculus Rift and the SteamVR headsets.
