Huawei Technologies has launched the Smart Vision Glass, a virtual reality device that can connect to smartphones and which has been designed for media streaming uses.

Like the Nreal Light AR glasses, the Smart Vision Glass has to be tethered to a device such as a smartphone, tablet, or desktop to work. The device will enable users to stream high-quality video content on virtual screens with sizes of up to 120 inches. The hardware specifications of the Smart Vision Glass include a binocular 1080p resolution and a Micro-OLED display. The device will be released in December 2022.

The device was launched at the 2022 World VR Industry event.

The Glass features a micro-OLED display. The mini panel is equivalent to up to a massive 120-inch virtual screen.

The cutting-edge display can also support a binocular 1080p resolution that delivers a full HD context along with 480 nit brightness. The display has DCI-P3 color gamut. It has also attained the German Rheinland low blue light certificate.

However, unlike the Nreal Light, the Smart Vision Glass has a more muscular build. They also have a matte texture on their broader frames. There is a plugin void on the left side of the device. The device’s pack-box also has a robust black structure.

The device also features ultra-thin smart speakers. The tiny speakers are built with myopia adjustment that ranges from 0-500 degrees. The device can be adjusted to up to 500 diopters of refractive power.

However, the device was launched without storage segments or any local CPU. As a result, it will not support an external mobile hard drive. The wearable can still be connected through PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

The Smart Vision Glass’ battery is equivalent to that of a smartphone, allowing you to stream for an appreciable amount of time.

Pre-orders for the Huawei Vision Glass open on November 14. After this, the glasses will be officially available for sale in December.
