Tommy Hilfiger has launched an augmented reality clothes try-on experience that will initially be available in three stores in Europe. Augmented reality try-ons remain the most popular AR applications among fashion brands and have been widely adopted by disparate players in the industry ranging from luxury brands to retail stores.

Tommy Hilfiger worked with the augmented reality company Zero10 for the Augmented Reality try-on experience. The experience has now been implemented in three brick-and-mortar Tommy Hilfiger stores in Europe.

Zero10 has an AR Mirror technology that allows shoppers to virtually try on clothes in physical stores via an in-store kiosk. The Zero10 technology leverages 3D body tracking, cloth simulation, and multiclass segmentation that enables the clothing items being tried on to look realistic on screen.

The AR try-on will now enable in-store shoppers to try on up to ten digital designs derived from the Tommy X Shawn Classics Reborn collection.

Three of the virtual looks in the collection will also feature “animated effects”. Users can also remotely try on the digital collection via the Zero10 mobile collection which can be freely downloaded on iOS devices.

The try-ons will be available in Tommy Hilfiger’s stores in Berlin, London, and Milan.

Apart from its partnerships with retail brands, Zero10’s AR Fashion Platform has also been implemented by creators and businesses who apply them in their digital creations which are subsequently accessible via AR on Zero10’s mobile app.
