VR Skater Coming to PSVR 2 This June
VR Skater is adding skateboard customization options along with a new ‘Mega Ramp’ and it is arriving on PSVR 2 this June.
VR Skater has been developed by Deficit Games. Previously, the title was confirmed for PSVR 2 during the January PSVR 2 showcase, alongside Ghosts of Tabor and MADiSON.
The latest announcement on the title’s launch window via a new PlayStation Blog. According to the publisher Perp Games, the PSVR 2 port of the game will utilize adaptive triggers for adjusting tension and providing “the sensation of resistance” when the player is steering in-game. The publisher also revealed a brand-new Mega Ramp that is shown in the action below: –
The publisher also showcased customizable skateboards with adjustable decks, wheels, trucks, and grip tapes which are unlocked by completing challenges and leveling up in-game.
These will be available when players unlock the Print Tablet which allows them to upload custom textures into VR Skater and these can be placed in any arrangement.
The game is enjoyable even though it is a bit difficult to learn. It gives players the real feeling of the speed that is involved in skateboarding, a sense that is not easy to capture in the flatscreen renditions.
However, players will find the game a bit tricky to learn with its catalog of tricks. However, once you get a handle of it, you will enjoy virtual skateboarding, perhaps much more than real-world skateboarding.
VR Skater launches on PSVR 2 on June 21, 2023. The PC VR version of the game is already available through Steam Early Access.
