‘Into The Radius’ Sequel is in the Works
The next Into The Radius update will add official mod support with the developer CM Games revealing that a second chapter of the game is currently in pre-production.
Into The Radius was fully released in 2020. The developer has now revealed that the game is going into “its final development cycle” with its last two major updates currently on the way.
CM Games says that Update 2.7 will focus on “refining the story, technical improvements” and collectibles while Update 2.8 will add the official PC VR mod support.
The team behind the game also stated they aren’t ruling out “the possibility of mod support” for the Meta Quest 2 version of the game. The team hasn’t provided a release window for the updates.
The team said there are currently no plans for an Into The Radius paid DLC but it revealed that a still unnamed sequel has also gone into development. Like the original game, the sequel will also be released in Early Access first.
In a statement, the studio says it is still in the pre-production phase and will go through an Early Access development model just like in the previous release. CM Games said it drew from its community in developing the sequel, just like in the original In The Radius by incorporating various ideas and suggestions from the community for the new installment of the game.
It will be some time before CM Games releases further details on this sequel. The team says it is still too early to answer questions about the coming game and promises to publish an FAQ on the sequel “when the time is right.”
