The Transformers: VR Battle Arena gave you a PvP experience that cast the players either as Deception or Autobot. In the Transformers: VR Invasion, you are cast in a human-sized role. The new franchise is a co-op adventure that can be played by up to four players and you will be fighting as part of the squad alongside the well-known Autobots such as Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Dinobot Grimlock is also featured in the new franchise.

Transformers: VR Invasion, tasks you with destroying Deceptions and taking on Megatron and Soundwave. You will also be repelling the non-stop swarms of Insecticons. All this action occurs inside Minority Media’s small VR footprint arena which features both HTC Vive Pro headsets along with the force-feedback guns that assist in the immersion.

In a statement, Minority Media VP of business Michael Zaidan stated the studio has been working on new installations and partnerships for the new game expected to be a hit with the Transformers fans, adding something new and exciting to the location-based entertainment scene which has taken a beating this year.

Transformers: VR Invasion will at first premiere in some select locations across the world. In the US, it will be available in family entertainment centers such as Compass Entertainment (Irvington, VA), Kalahari Resort (Poconos, PA) and the Airway Fun Center (Kalamazoo, MI). Minority Media is also bringing the videogame to a number of Kingpin bowling locations in Australia thanks to a partnership with TEEG.

The location-based VR entertainment scene has been hit by the pandemic this following lockdowns and restrictions on gatherings but the industry has been seeing some action and has remained resilient in spite of the drastic slump in business.
