Google’s ‘Tilt Brush’ Soon Coming to PSVR
Google’s Virtual Reality creation app Tilt Brush is soon coming to PSVR. The app was recently slimmed down for it to fit Oculus Quest’s more modest mobile chipset. The Quest launch may also have given Google the impetus to launch the game in PSVR. The latest data on the PlayStation Store now shows that Tilt Brush could be available in the store soon.
The PSN data has been obtained by Gamstat and it shows the Tilt Brush listing was recently created for Europe, America and Japan regions.
All PlayStation Store games have identifier codes in the URLs of the game. Gamstat has discovered Tilt Brush’s store identifier codes. These are as follows:-
America – CUSA18125_00
Europe – CUSA18231_00
Japan – CUSA18283_00
There also exists an image scraped from the listing that indicates that Sony Interactive Entertainment is the publisher of the app.
Google hasn’t announced the Tilt Brush for PSVR yet but reported data so far strongly indicate a release on the platform isn’t too far away.
Tilt Brush was first launched for PC VR headsets in 2016. Over the past four years, it has grown into a fully-featured Virtual Reality creation tool. It integrates with Google’s other 3D Virtual Reality creation too Blocks which was released in 2017. Tilt Brush users are also able to export their creations to Sketchfab.
At the moment, it is still unclear whether the PSVR version of Tilt Brush will also retain this interoperability or whether Google had updated the platforms motion controls which aren’t as accurate at the moment. We will find out soon enough.
